Born 1-Dec-1929 in Burlington, Bell County, Texas. He joined the United States Navy in Apr-1948, and he served for 20 years. He was in Japan, Philippine Islands, Hawaii, Korea, and Vietnam. He was a radioman; and he was in communications managementand teletype maintenance. Emil was discharged from the Navy as a First Class Petty Officer on 29-Jan-1968. He then moved to Temple Texas where he worked for the Santa Fe Railroad. Emil was killed in an automobile accident on the highway east of Abilene, Texas on 17-Nov-1970 (age, 40 years). He was alone in his car at the time of the accident. When Emil died, his children were 16, 15, 13, 10, and 8 years of age.

Emil was married 24-Jul-1951 in Yokohama, Japan to Seiko Sakamoto, who was born 8-Dec-1930 in Kumamoto, Japan.
