Note | Born 25-Oct-1908 in Temple, Bell County, Texas. Emil was 9 months old when his mother died. Prior to his marriage, Emil worked for the Santa Fe Railroad. Then he worked for 28 years for the American Desk Manufacturing Company in Temple. He was assistant foreman in the mill department. He lived in the same place most of his life. Emil died from a heart attack on 13-Oct-1969 (age, 60 years). Emil died three weeks after the death of his oldest brother, John Fojtasek, who also died from a heartattack. Emil was married 21-Nov-1926 to Hermina Vlasta Schiller, who was born 1-Jun-1910 in Chrisman, Texas. She was called "Minnie". Minnie was a daughter of Frank Joe Schiller. Emil and Minnie raised a foster daughter, Willie Mae Hutka (born 30-Aug-1927). Emil Fojtasek and Willie Mae Hutka were actually second cousins once removed. Willie Mae was a daughter of Paul Hutka and Anna Pagach. Paul Hutka died in 1937 when Willie Mae was 10 years old and Willie Mae was sent to live with Emil and Minnie. Minnie died 19-Jan-1994. |
